Soudabond Timber is a high-strength, fast-curing polyurethane adhesive that transforms into an adhesive gel immediately upon application. This feature helps fill small irregularities in subfloor decking, preventing squeaky floors. Its high-yield polyurethane formulation offers much greater coverage than traditional adhesives, with one can replacing up to 25 cartridges of traditional adhesive and significantly reducing installation times.

Key Points:

  1. Efficiency and Coverage: One can of Soudabond Timber replaces up to 25 cartridges of traditional adhesive and up to 25 kg of traditional mortar-based adhesive, providing extensive coverage and reducing installation times.
  2. Cost and Time Savings: The adhesive saves up to 25% in application time and costs compared to traditional adhesives, thanks to its high yield and efficient application process.
  3. Performance and Bonding: Soudabond Timber provides an excellent initial bond, even at low temperatures, ensuring reliable performance in various conditions.
  4. Precise and Economical Application: The adhesive is economical in use due to the precise application possible with a gun, allowing for efficient and targeted use.

Soudabond Timber provides clean, efficient, and economical permanent bonding for all common types of subfloor decking. It is also suitable for various other horizontal construction adhesive applications.

APPLICATION

Before using Soudabond Timber, cover all adjacent areas to protect against soiling. In windy conditions, take precautions to prevent contamination of nearby components, objects, or people. Ensure good ventilation for indoor use as the product is flammable during dispensing. Wear protective goggles and gloves. Tightly screw the can to the thread in the gun and shake it for about 30 seconds with the valve pointing downwards to mix the contents well for optimum adhesive quality and high yield. After extended periods of non-use, shake the can again to maintain adhesive quality. Adjust the adhesive bead diameter with the adjusting screw on the gun (open more as the can empties) and hold the can vertical during application.

  1. Apply the adhesive in uniform beads of 1-2 cm centrally onto the mounting studs, maintaining a distance of 1-2 cm between the gun nozzle and substrate while spraying.
  2. Place the subfloor decking onto the gel adhesive within 20 minutes after dispensing. Do not remove and reapply panels, as this will damage the adhesive structure and reduce its strength. At high temperatures and low humidity, lightly spray the adhesive bead with water to accelerate curing.
  3. Once the panels are set, and while maintaining pressure, additionally secure the boards with mechanical fasteners.
