Silfix U7 is ideal for the following applications.

APPLICATION
PROPERTIES
- Application temperature range: +5°C to +40°C
- Shelf life: 12 months when stored in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Surface preparation: Ensure that all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, dry, and free from frost, grease, and loose materials. Apply a primer if deemed necessary, although most substrates typically require priming only when testing indicates it is needed.
- Application: Use a skeleton gun to apply the product into the joint, ensuring excellent contact with the surfaces involved. For situations demanding an exceptionally tidy finish, employ masking tape to cover the edges of the joint, and promptly remove it once the tooling process is completed.
- Tooling: It’s essential to tool the product immediately after application, staying within the designated working time for the specific product.
LIMITATIONS
• Inappropriate for structural glazing purposes.
• Avoid using on highly porous stone or metal surfaces that may be prone to corrosion.
• Unsuitable for constructing aquariums or areas with continuous immersion.
• Refrain from application on bitumen/asphalt substrates or surfaces prone to oil, plasticizer, and solvent bleeding. • Silfix U7 is not conducive to painting.
• For the bedding of IGUs (Insulated Glass Units) or laminated glass, opt for Silfix U9 instead.
