Hodgson Sealants Flexistrip is ideal for:
• Intended for the installation of single glass and double glazed units into prepped timber windows and doors within a factory setting.
• Suitable for the installation of both double glazed units and single glass into steel windows.
• Designed for frames with internal and external beading, accommodating units up to 1 square meter in size.
• Part of Hodgson Glazing Systems B6, D3, and R1, each with specific performance specifications and detailed glazing method statements available on our Website’s Technical Library.
• Emphasizes the importance of proper coating and regular maintenance of timber frames to prevent damage to the timber or glazing seals caused by movement. Detailed Technical Information Sheets on Microporous Paints and stains are available for reference.
• Encourages appropriate preparation of rebates and beads based on the timber type during the glazing process. Stressing the significance of regular maintenance of timber coatings to ensure long-term stability of the frames.

APPLICATION
Surface Readiness: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and devoid of frost, grease, or loose materials. Application: Directly apply the tape from the reel onto one surface, pressing firmly along its entire length to ensure strong initial adhesion. Remove the backing paper and carefully align the other surface to the sealant, pressing firmly to create a secure seal across the joint. Prior to use, familiarize yourself with and understand the complete glazing methodology.
Note: If intending to use for lattice or astragal bead/bar mounting, Foamsekure BMS is recommended instead.
