Please be aware:

  • Avoid using this product in contact with the edge sealants of double-glazed units or in situations where it will come into contact with lead, brass, and copper.
  • This product contains a fungicide and should not be used in the construction of aquariums.

 

 

APPLICATION

  • Recommended application temperature range: +5°C to +40°C
  • Cure rate: At 23°C @ 55% RH, it typically cures at a rate of 3mm in 24 hours. Curing may be slower at lower temperatures or in drier conditions.
  • Shelf life: The product has a shelf life of 24 months.
  • Skinning time: A skin typically forms within about 15 minutes at 23°C @ 55% RH.
  • Working time: The working time is approximately 10 minutes, subject to environmental conditions.

Usage Guidelines:

  • Joint design: Please refer to the Technical Information Sheet titled ‘Joint design for cartridge-based products’ before application.
  • Surface preparation: Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and devoid of frost, grease, or loose materials. Use a primer if necessary. For a particularly neat finish, use masking tape to cover the joint’s face edges, removing it promptly after tooling.
  • Cartridge preparation: Cut the tip of the cartridge’s screw thread and attach the nozzle. Trim the nozzle to the appropriate diameter for the joint size.
  • Application: Use a skeleton or powered gun to apply the sealant into the joint, ensuring strong contact with the surfaces. For deeper joints, it is crucial to use Hodgson Backing Rod to facilitate proper joint formation.
  • Tooling: Immediately after applying the sealant, use appropriate tools within the product’s specified working time.
