SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
APPLICATION METHOD / TOOLS
A note should be made of the recommended joint ratios. If necessary reduce joint depth using Everbuild FILL AND FIX Foam or Joint backer rod. Cut the tip of the cartridge with a sharp blade, taking care not to damage the thread. Apply using a standard sealant gun.
To ensure a proper bond, always tool the sealant off, using a spatula or piece of wet wood, dampened with a soap & water solution. An improved finish can be achieved by placing tape to both sides of the joint and removing after application.
LIMITATIONS
– Not for use in conjunction with bitumen. Use Weather Mate.
– Not for use on highly porous surfaces such as new concrete or stonework.
– Not for use on surfaces that bleed solvents, oils or plasticisers.
– Do not use in the vicinity of, or in conjunction with the edge sealant of double glazed units.
– Do not use for perimeter pointing of uPVC. Use SILICONE HM60.
