Hodgson Sealants Seamseal CV is:
• Designed for bedding seams, mouldings, rails, window and door frames, as well as numerous covered joints in portable buildings, caravans, holiday homes, boats, freight containers, and transport vehicles.
• Ideal for sealing certain seam or lap joints in metal constructions.
• Not appropriate for use in joints that have the potential to trap or hold standing water.
APPLICATION
Joint Preparation: Before applying, refer to the Technical Information Sheet titled ‘Joint Design for Cartridge Based Products’ to ensure proper joint design.
Surface Readiness: Thoroughly clean all surfaces, ensuring they are dry and free from frost, grease, or loose materials. Apply primer if necessary. For a meticulously neat outcome, use masking tape to cover the face edges of the joint, removing it promptly after tooling is completed. Cartridge Preparation: Trim the top of the screw thread on the cartridge and attach the nozzle. Adjust the nozzle diameter to match the joint size. Application: Using a skeleton or powered gun, apply the sealant into the joint, ensuring strong contact with the surfaces.
Tooling: Immediately after applying the sealant, tool it using a spatula dampened with white spirit.
