Alpha Chem Hand Held Expanding Foam is suitable for:

  • Addressing substantial, uneven, or challenging gaps, where the foam’s expansion ensures thorough cavity filling.
  • Securing and insulating window and door frames.
  • Affixing boards securely in place.
  • Providing insulation within the areas between brickwork and cladding, encircling ductwork, and spanning through voids that accommodate pipes and cables.
  • Serving as backing material for joints with minimal expansion requirements.

APPLICATION

  • Ensure that all surfaces are clean, solid, dry, and devoid of dust, grease, or other impurities.
  • The recommended can temperature is +20°C. Application is viable between +5°C and +30°C.
  • Thoroughly shake the can before use.
  • Attach the can to an applicator gun, being cautious not to overtighten.
  • Enhance adhesion and expedite curing by moistening surfaces and the foam.
  • For foam application, invert the can and activate the trigger. Control foam output using the trigger and adjustment screw on the rear of the gun. Maintain the can in an upside-down position throughout application.
  • For Filling: Load the cavity halfway with foam, as expansion will ultimately fill the void.
  • For Fixing: Secure door and window frames with wedges until complete curing occurs, approximately within 24 hours.
  • After use, keep the gun connected to the foam can. To reuse, break the foam nib at the tip of the gun’s applicator nozzle, shake the can, and commence application.
  • Alpha Chem Foam Cleaner is suitable for cleaning fresh foam, while cured foam can be cleaned mechanically.
  • Proper disposal of all packaging is the user’s responsibility.

LIMITATIONS

  • Store and transport the product in a vertical position.
  • Shelf life may be reduced when stored above +25°C or below +5°C.
  • Maintain the product at room temperature for a minimum of 12 hours before application.
  • Exposing cured foam to ultraviolet light will cause discoloration.
  • For optimal outcomes in outdoor applications, paint or coat the cured foam.
  • Yield and curing time decrease in colder temperatures.
  • The user assumes responsibility for verifying suitability for their intended use.
  • Before usage, carefully review the label for essential health and safety information. It’s recommended to consult the Safety Data Sheet for comprehensive details.
