Soudal Zinc Fix is a high strength flexible adhesive and sealant designed specifically for the adhesion of zinc on zinc and onto other building materials (such as wood, stone, natural stone, etc) or the sealing of other materials. Also excellent for roof sealing applications.
Properties
– Good extrudability
– Stays elastic after curing and very sustainable
– Excellent adhesion on nearly all surfaces, even if slightly moist.
– Can be painted with water based systems
– No odour.
– Does not contain solvents, isocyanates, acids, halogens and toxic components, completely neutral.

Substrates
Substrates: zinc, all usual building substrates, natural stone, treated wood, PVC, plastics, …
Nature: rigid, clean, dry, free of dust and grease.
Surface preparation: Porous surfaces in water loaded applications should be primed with Primer 150. All smooth surfaces can be treated with Soudal Surface Activator.
We recommend a preliminary adhesion test on every surface. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg. Teflon®) and bituminous substrates.

Soudal Zinc Fix is suitable for bonding and sealing applications in the building and construction industry. Ideal for zinc on zinc bonding. Excellent for sealing in metal roofing applications.
APPLICATION
Application method: With manual- or pneumatic caulking gun.
Cleaning: With Fix ALL Cleaner immediately after use.
Finishing: With a soapy solution or Soudal Finishing Solution before skinning.
Repair: With the same material.
LIMITATIONS
– Zinc Fix may be overpainted with water based paints, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compatibility test
before application.
– The drying time of alkyd resin based paints may increase.
– Zinc Fix can not be used as a glazing sealant.
– Zinc Fix can be used for bonding of and sealing on natural stone.
– When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
