AlphaChem Boardfix FR stands as a high-performance adhesive foam in gun grade, offering a swift and efficient approach to bonding diverse construction materials, plasterboard being one of them. Its rapid adhesive action enables plastering and wall plugging to commence within a mere hour.

Comparatively more cost-effective and lighter in composition than plaster, it brings an added layer of ease to usage and application. Notably, Boardfix holds a B3 fire rating, assuring non-combustibility.

Alpha Chem Boardfix FR is suitable for:

  • Excellently suited for affixing heat insulation panels and addressing gaps while applying adhesive.
  • Recommended for bonding wooden construction materials to surfaces like concrete and metal.
  • Ideal for scenarios requiring controlled expansion.
  • Well-suited for attaching and isolating window and door frames.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that this product is environmentally responsible, devoid of any propellant gases detrimental to the ozone layer.

APPLICATION

  • Ensure all surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, stable, dry, and devoid of dust, grease, or contaminants. If the surface isn’t clean, pressurized water can be used to remove dust.
  • The recommended can temperature is +20°C.
  • Application is viable within a temperature range of +5°C to +35°C.
  • Vigorously shake the can before use, around 30 times. Repeat shaking at intervals.
  • Attach the can to an AlphaChem foam applicator gun. The foam output can be managed using the trigger and adjusted with the screw on the gun’s rear side.
  • For foam application, invert the can and press the trigger. Maintain control over foam output through the trigger and adjustment screw. Always keep the can upside down during application.
  • Apply the foam around the board’s perimeter and then approximately every 40cm. Allow it to stand for 3-4 minutes before pressing the board against the wall. Apply even pressure across the board’s entire surface and hold it in place for roughly 1 minute. Corrections can be made within 15-20 minutes if needed. Complete curing takes around 2-3 hours.
  • Fresh foam can be cleaned using AlphaChem Foam Cleaner. Mechanically cleaning is recommended for cured foam.

LIMITATIONS

  • Storage outside the temperature range of +5°C to +25°C affects shelf life, also impacting foam yield and curing time due to colder temperatures.
  • Proper storage and transportation involve keeping the product in a vertical position.
  • To achieve optimal results, maintain the product at room temperature for at least 12 hours before application.
  • Cured foam may undergo discoloration upon exposure to ultraviolet light.
  • For enhanced performance in outdoor applications, consider painting or coating the cured foam.
  • The user bears the responsibility of ensuring the product’s suitability for their intended use.
  • Carefully review the label before usage; it contains crucial health and safety information. Additional details are available in the Safety Data Sheet, which can be requested.
