Mapei Eco Prim Grip is a multi-purpose, ready to use primer for floors and walls both internally and externally. It may help to improve the bond of all types of cement, gypsum and lime-based plasters, and on substrates made from concrete, brickwork, vibro-compressed concrete blocks, lightweight blocks, gypsum, etc. It is also suitable for improving the adhesive bond for ceramics, for smoothing and levelling compounds on non absorbent surfaces such as ceramics, terrazzo and natural stone flooring.

CHARACTERISTICS

A solvent-free primer composed of synthetic resin, in water dispersion, and selected inert materials, with great bond strength, water and age resistance. Guarantees a rough keying surface that is ideal for rendering and smoothing and levelling compounds, therefore ensuring an excellent bond on smooth and low absorbency substrates, as well as reducing and evening out the absorption of water on absorbent surfaces. Once dry, it guarantees a tough bond on various types of substrates, such as concrete, lightweight cement blocks, stone, bricks, plasterboard, wood, ceramic, metal, render, etc.

It is a ready-to-use grey latex which is easy applied using a roller or a brush.

Some application examples
• In the application of render on concrete, brickwork, substrates, and so on.
• In the application of smoothing and levelling compounds on old ceramic, terrazzo and natural stone flooring.
• Aids in the laying of ceramic and natural stone floors directly on top of old and existing ceramic flooring.

RECOMMENDATIONS
• Apply at temperatures between +5°C and +35°C.
• Do not use in the presence of rising damp of humidity, or on continuously immersed surfaces.
• Eco Prim Grip is ready-to-use, dilution is not required.
• Do not use as an adhesion promoter for adhesives and levelling compounds.

APPLICATION
Eco Prim Grip may be applied to the substrate with either a brush or roller. The render/smoothing and levelling compound may be applied once Eco Prim Grip is fully dry. The minimum waiting time is from 15 to 60 minutes, depending on the surrounding conditions and absorption of the surface.

CLEANING
While still fresh, Eco Prim Grip can be removed easily with water from floors, walls and tools. Once dry, it can be removed with alcohol.
