AlphaChem All Weather is ideal for:

  1. Roofline Applications: The adhesive can be used for roofline applications such as securing fascia boards, soffits, and bargeboards. It provides a strong and weather-resistant bond to these materials, ensuring they stay firmly in place.
  2. Weatherproofing: All Weather is ideal for weatherproofing tasks. It can seal gaps and joints, providing a protective barrier against water infiltration and air leakage.
  3. Adhesion to Various Substrates: The adhesive adheres without the need for a primer to a wide range of materials, including wood, concrete, brick, metal, glass, and most plastics. This makes it suitable for bonding various components in roof and weatherproofing projects.
  4. Bitumen and Asphalt Compatibility: All Weather is compatible with bitumen and asphalt, making it a reliable option for roof repairs involving these materials.
  5. Gap Filling: The adhesive can be used for filling gaps in roof panels and around window and door frames. It helps create a tight seal to prevent water and air from entering these areas.
  6. Jointing Guttering: All Weather can be used for jointing guttering, ensuring a secure and waterproof connection between gutter sections.

APPLICATION

  1. Storage: Store the cartridges at room temperature before use to ensure the adhesive’s optimal performance.
  2. Surface Preparation: Ensure that all surfaces to be bonded are clean, sound, and free from dust. Smooth surfaces may be slightly wet, while porous surfaces should be dry before application.
  3. Fill Gaps: For larger gaps or voids, use a suitable backer rod to provide support and improve the effectiveness of the adhesive.
  4. Cut Nozzle: Cut the thread and nozzle of the cartridge to the desired size. The nozzle size should match the width of the joint or gap you need to fill.
  5. Apply with Professional Sealant Gun: Use an AlphaChem Professional Sealant Gun for precise and controlled application of the adhesive.
  6. Smooth Down: After applying the adhesive, smooth it down using a spatula that has been wetted with plenty of soapy water. This helps achieve a neat finish and ensures good adhesion to the substrate.
  7. Tack-Free Time: The AlphaChem All Weather adhesive will become tack-free after approximately 10-15 minutes. However, allow 24 hours of curing time before overpainting or subjecting the joint to significant stress.
  8. Clean Uncured Product: If there is any uncured adhesive that needs to be removed, use Cromar White Spirit to clean it off.
  9. Remove Cured Product: For cured adhesive, it should be removed mechanically using appropriate tools.
  10. Proper Disposal: Dispose of all packaging materials responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.

LIMITATIONS

  1. Exterior Use Only: The product is designed for exterior use only and should not be used for interior applications.
  2. Not for Aquarium Manufacture: All Weather should not be used in the manufacture or sealing of aquariums due to its formulation.
  3. Yellowing Underwater: If immersed underwater for extended periods, the product may yellow, although it will not affect its overall quality. This is important to consider if the adhesive will be in constant contact with water.
  4. Extended Drying Time with Solvent-Based Paints: When using paints containing solvents, the drying time of the adhesive may be extended. Always perform a small test in an inconspicuous area before using the adhesive on a larger scale.
  5. User Responsibility for Suitability: It is the responsibility of the user to determine the suitability of All Weather for their specific application and intended use.
  6. Read the Label and Safety Data Sheet: Prior to using the product, it is essential to read the label for essential health and safety information. You can also request the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for further detailed information about the product’s safe handling and usage.
